Top 100 Brands - Checkout March 2005
Compiled for Checkout and Independent Retail News, the ACNielsen Top 100 Grocery Brands survey reveal Ireland's favourite brand are a mix of those that are 'better for you' like bread, cereals, water and low fat spreads and treats like chocolate, crisps and fizzy drinks.

The survey, which is based on sales data from more than 82,000 grocery
stores, shows the top selling grocery brands in 2004.

This new ACNielsen study looks at a basket of 160 international branded items and examines price differentials across Europe and within individual countries.  The survey points to price convergence in Europe since the introduction of the Euro.

Presented at the February 2006 ESOMAR World Research Conference, this paper, through a case study, attempts to integrate insights from consumers’ feelings with how consumers actually behave instore to diagnose where marketing attention needs to be focused to drive equity as well as ensure market performance.
